Weak Chin

Some individuals can have a chin that recedes into the face with loss of protrusion. This can be genetic or due to trauma.

This causes a lack of proportion in the face, which can be ageing. A strong jawline and definition of the chin is essential for a person to look confident and youthful. Conversely, a weak chin also has the effect of making the nose appear longer, which is not aesthetically pleasing. Over the last few years, it has been increasingly recognised the importance of treatment of the chin and mandible (jaw bone) as part of the overall aesthetic process.
