Radiesse is becoming a more popular choice for those looking to invest in dermal fillers. There are a number of reasons why you might consider choosing this treatment over others, but it’s important to know that you’ll get the results you’re looking for. So, does Radiesse really work?
Radiesse is known for producing amazing results when used to reduce the appearance of wrinkles or folds, typically in the face. As well as providing immediate volume and lift, Radiesse also works over time to stimulate natural collagen production. Depending on the patient, this can lead to longer-lasting results when compared to other dermal fillers that may break down more quickly.
Read on to find out more about Radiesse and the results you can expect from the treatment.
Does Radiesse Give Visible Results?
Yes! You’ll see results from your Radiesse treatment immediately, with further improvements appearing over time. Thanks to calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) molecules, the volume in your skin, wherever you receive the treatment, will be restored instantly. The initial injection starts the process of filling your wrinkles and folds, but the real benefits of Radiesse are seen over time.
In the weeks following your treatment, the CaHA stimulates the production of collagen, which is often referred to as the body’s naturally-occurring filler. It acts as a scaffold for 12 months with collagen growing around the tiny calcium particles. The gel mimics connective tissue but, eventually, absorbs back into your body. Once this happens, your collagen will be left in its place, continuing to show the same results for longer.
How Long Do Radiesse Results Last?
As with most aesthetics treatments, Radiesse results vary from patient to patient. Its longevity will depend on the chosen treatment area, the patient’s lifestyle, and the condition of their skin.
Results of Radiesse treatment can last up to 24 months. This is due to the product’s ability to stimulate the production of collagen in the body, known as a ‘biostimulatory effect’. Radiesse produces results for far longer than many other dermal fillers.
Does Radiesse Look Better Over Time?
Whilst this type of dermal filler shows results almost instantly in the immediate treatment area, the long term effects are just as beneficial. Radiesse stimulates the production of collagen in the body, which is the protein that gives skin its structure and elasticity. This leads to smoother and firmer skin, with the production of collagen continuing in the weeks following treatment.
Where Can Radiesse Be Used?
Here at Infinity Aesthetics, we can put together a bespoke treatment plan, no matter where you may be showing signs of age. Here are the common treatment areas and the benefits of injecting Radiesse in those places:
- Face: The skin in our faces decreases in elasticity as we age. This can cause wrinkles and sagging. After injecting Radiesse, the firmness of the face increases and skin is made smoother.
- Neck: Radiesse reduces the appearance of ‘turkey neck’; sagging skin and vertical banding on the neck. The treatment restores lost volume and gives the neck a subtle lift, leading to firmer-looking skin.
- Hands: Your hands can sometimes be challenging to treat, but our innovative hyper-dilute Radiesse is a great option for restoring volume. Your hands will look smoother and younger after this treatment.
- Décolletage; Radiesse now has an FDA license to treat this delicate area which is affected by sun exposure and becomes thin and wrinkles. 74% of patients saw significant improvement in the landmark clinical trial, with results lasting years.
