Dermal fillers help to reduce the prominence of visible veins and tendons, while also smoothing out fine lines and improving skin texture for a more youthful look.

Our hands are often the first place to betray our age, yet they are frequently overlooked in aesthetic care. Over time, the skin on our hands loses its youthful “bounce,” becoming thinner and more translucent, which makes veins and tendons appear more prominent.
To restore a smooth, plump, and refreshed look, I specialise in hand rejuvenation using hyper-diluted Radiesse. This advanced biostimulatory treatment goes beyond traditional fillers; by diluting the product, we can spread it evenly across the back of the hand to stimulate your body’s own natural collagen and elastin production.
Natural Results: It subtly restores volume and improves skin texture without looking “overfilled.”
Long-Lasting: Results typically last 12 to 18 months. For those seeking even greater longevity, a second session can extend these beautiful results even further.
Maximum Comfort: The procedure is extremely comfortable, involving a specialized technique that ensures a quick and painless experience with minimal downtime.
Noticeable Difference: You will see an immediate improvement in smoothness, with skin quality continuing to enhance over the following weeks as new collagen forms.
Book AppointmentHand rejuvenation is an increasingly commonly requested treatment, also known as the ‘Radiesse Hand Lift’ because of the special long-lasting dermal filler used.
It is the ideal solution for patients concerned with the ageing appearance of their hands, and Dr Owen performs this weekly in his clinic in Marylebone, London (Cavendish Square in the Harley Street area).

Radiesse is a calcium-based filler that is robust and can stand the pressures and movement within the hand as well as improving the skin quality significantly. This restores lost volume in the back of the hands and is done with a very simple and convenient procedure, usually with some topical local anaesthetic for a few minutes. The treatment is highly effective and delivers long-lasting results. The first injections often last 12-18 months, but subsequent maintenance ones can last for more.
Typically around 1 syringe Radiesse is needed. This is diluted and spread around the back of the hand, in a an extremely comfortable procedure that most people can’t even feel.
You can resume most activities or return to work right away, but it is generally recommended that you avoid intense physical activity for the first 24-48 hours to minimise swelling and bruising.
This is the benefit of the “hyper-diluted” technique. Because the product is thinned, it integrates seamlessly into your tissues. It avoids the “pillow-hand” look that can sometimes occur with thicker fillers. The goal is a natural, elegant restoration where veins and tendons are less prominent, and the skin looks healthy and hydrated.
Patient comfort is a hallmark of my practice. The treatment is extremely comfortable and generally very well-tolerated. I use a specialised technique with a blunt-tipped cannula which minimises the number of injection points and significantly reduces the risk of bruising. Most patients are pleasantly surprised by how quick and painless the process is.
Unlike traditional dermal fillers that simply “fill” a space, hyper-diluted Radiesse acts as a biostimulator. By thinning the Radiesse solution, I can spread it smoothly across the back of the hands. Once injected, it triggers your body’s natural regenerative process to produce new collagen and elastin. This doesn’t just add volume; it actually improves the thickness and quality of the skin from the inside out.
Frequently, cosmetic improvement focuses on the face, yet one of the most telling body features which looks ageing are our hands which are neglected. As for the face, they lose skin tone and the soft tissue shrinks because of loss of collagen fibres, leading to a skeletal and aged appearance.
