This can vary from patient to patient. The longevity of the results from Radiesse filler treatment will depend on the area that is treated, the lifestyle of the client, and their skin condition. Due to the biostimulatory effect of Radiesse, the results of treatment can last up to 24 months. This is far longer than many other dermal fillers.
The side effects following Radiesse treatment are normally minimal. Symptoms such as mild swelling or bruising at the site of injection are common, however they tend to ease within a few days. We do however recommend that you avoid strenuous activities immediately following treatment. Detailed aftercare instructions will also be provided to ensure your recovery is as smooth as possible.
Lidocaine, one of the key substances in our hyper-dilute Radiesse fillers, is a local anaesthetic. This means that patients will typically experience very minimal discomfort during treatment. The process is normally described as similar to a mild pressure or slight pinching sensation.
The number of sessions that are required to achieve the desired results will entirely depend on each person’s unique aesthetic goals. It will also depend on the area that is being treated. For hyper-dilute Radiesse, one to two sessions will normally provide the desired outcome. A tailor-made plan will be produced by Dr Owen Thomas, to ensure that the desired results will be achieved.
To maximise the volume and reduce the number of dynamic wrinkles in the skin, hyper-dilute Radiesse can be used in conjunction with botulinum toxin injections to rejuvenate the appearance even further. If necessary, a combined approach may be suggested during your appointment with Dr Owen Thomas.
