Profhilo is mainly used to treat the face, neck and decolletage. It can also be used to treat upper arms, knees and the abdominal area.

In contrast to wrinkle reducing and dermal filler procedures, Profhilo® stimulates collagen and elastin, drawing water into the dermis in much greater amounts. Profhilo® is precisely injected into the skin in several points before spreading under and through the dermis. As a stabilized substance, elastin and collagen are stimulated by a slower-released form of hyaluronic acid. This causes a significant boost in tissue quality. Because of this, we cannot say that Profhilo® is a skin booster as it also has a significant tightening/lifting effect on tissue.

A Profhilo treatment process usually consists of just two sessions, administered about one month apart. After around six months, an additional session might be required to create a longer-term effect, if desired.

There are no known serious adverse effects associated with Profhilo therapy. Some redness or bruising may occur after injection, but this will usually disappear within a few hours and is not a cause for concern. To date, over a million patients have received Profhilo across the world without any known cases of significant adverse consequences.
